Persons kryddskåp is a timeless pattern from the 1950s that remains a favorite even today. Originally created for printed kitchen towels, a novelty that quickly became popular, this pattern has a unique history. Astrid Sampe drew inspiration from ceramicist Signe Persson Melin’s spice jars with cork lids when the pattern was designed for the H55 design fair in Helsingborg in 1955. The classic pattern lives on through many products, such as these cork placemats, where its origins in the kitchen towels are clearly reflected. Persons kryddskåp placemats are not only a nostalgic reminder of times past but also a beautiful and practical way to add character to your table setting.
