Josef Frank (1885 - 1967) was an Austrian-Swedish architect and designer, and one of the leading figures of modernism in Austria. Josef Frank created, among other designs, the Bows pattern during the period of 1920-1930 as part of a larger collection of patterns that blend geometric shapes with elements from nature.
